White Oak Bark Powder and gingivitis

ok so basically I've had gingivitis for a little over a year now. It comes and goes with severity ranging from high to low each time. I've had my teeth cleaned numerous times, brush, floss yadda yadda. Needless to say nothing is working for me :(
I was reading about White Oak Bark Powder on a couple sites and thought of this community to and ask first hand if anyone had tried this method and had success? if you have had success with any other methods please do comment with those too!
i read most of the other entries in the memories about this subject but didn't come across anything about white oak bark.

gaiagarden.com has an oral cleanse that basically saved my husbands teeth as his pockets in the gums were so bad. It tightens the tissue and heals the gums

they do mail orders but maybe you could write down what's in it and see if they have anything similar locally?
It tastes terrible but it also helps with sore throats and you only need a tiny amount in hot water

When I had my braces taken off, I had a NASTY case of it. It was awful. I used JASON Oral Comfort toothpaste three times a day, and did a rinse of one cup water with one drop each of lavender, tea tree, and clove oil before and after I brushed. It really helped.

My gums have bled most of my life and I have been told I have gum disease, but when I started taking a lot of fish oil as part of a weight loss regime, the gums stopped bleeding. fter I loss the weight, I stopped the fish oil for a while and the gums started bleeding again. I started taking fish oil as a supplement and for the fist time since I was 14 I didn't get a lecture about the state of my gums.

No idea about white oak powder, but you might want to consider fish oil.
