Ironing starch

Hi everyone!

I did some googling, but couldn't find anything about making an all-natural starch/softening liquid for ironing. My husband's shirts are super hard to iron and the shop-bought starch has a strong smell and seems to be anything but natural..
I'd appreciate some recipes!
