My sister and I love granola/food bars -- they're convenient, relatively healthy, and usually tasty. One of my problems, though, is that I hate the waste that comes from them. I was cleaning out my car and i found loads of Lara/Mojo/Luna/Cliff/Raw Food bars. Also, the amount of money I've spent at health and whole food marts on these little bars is outrageous. Lastly, some of the bars are FULL of sugar. Eeek.
Therefore, I want to try my hand at making my own. Benefit my pocketbook, my health, and the environment.
Do any of you folks have any good homemade granola bar or food bar recipes? I'd like them to be relatively kid-friendly (in hopes of pleasing the aforementioned sister), so that's something for me to consider.
